# Toughkey

> Lokblok's certified hardware security module (HSM). A tamper-resistant secure element that hosts the Phantom Secrets™ runtime. The same Lokblok protocol also runs inside SIM cards, eUICC, mobile secure enclaves, and qualified cloud HSMs.

## What It Is

Toughkey is a certified secure element designed specifically to host the Phantom Secrets™ runtime. It provides the tamper-resistant boundary inside which threshold shares are combined into a private key, used for a single cryptographic operation, and destroyed.

- USB-connected secure element for endpoint and operator scenarios
- Embedded module for OEM integration into terminals, gateways, and ATMs
