## What Lokblok Adds to an HSM

A FIPS 140-3 certified HSM protects keys that exist inside it. Phantom Secrets™ adds the option that the keys do not exist inside it — they are reconstructed from threshold shares only at the moment of use and destroyed immediately after. Customers gain zero-custody behaviour without abandoning their HSM investment.

## Partnership Model

Lokblok provides the Phantom Secrets™ runtime as a software layer that targets the HSM's secure execution environment. The HSM vendor retains its certification, brand, and customer relationship; Lokblok contributes the protocol and roadmap. Joint go-to-market is structured around the vendor's existing channels.
